About Us

Holy Mary Mother of Mercy Foundation is a Catholic, faith-based charity organization committed to bringing hope, compassion, and support to the most vulnerable in society. Inspired by the love and mercy of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we serve the poor, the less privileged, orphans, widows, and those in desperate need of care and comfort — both physically and spiritually.

We also support those who feel called to serve God, such as seminarians and young people pursuing vocations, who lack the resources to fulfill their calling. Through acts of love and mercy, we are building a world where no one is left behind.
  • This foundation was founded by Austine Chibuzo Onyeoziri, a Catholic seminarian originally from Aboh Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria, currently living and studying in Ireland. Born from a personal journey marked by hardship, faith, and divine mercy, the foundation reflects a calling to give back and uplift others through charity and compassion.
  • Though the vision began with Austine’s own life story and personal sacrifice, the mission has grown stronger with the support of two committed co-founders:
  • Chief Patrick Nnaemeka Anughere (Akuchukwu 1 of Ukpor), from Anambra State, Nigeria
  • Mr. Darlington Onyeoziri, from Imo State, Nigeria, currently based in Germany
  • Together, they share a common desire — to be instruments of God’s mercy in the lives of those who suffer.

Our Story From Struggle to Service: A Founder’s Journey

I am Austine Chibuzo Onyeoziri, a Catholic seminarian from Aboh Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria, currently living and studying in Ireland, Europe. My life has been shaped by both suffering and grace.

Raised with very little, I experienced what it means to lack opportunity, comfort, and security. Yet God, in His mercy, provided me with kind sponsors and helpers who believed in me and supported my seminary journey. Their generosity changed my life — not only physically, but spiritually.

From that experience, the Holy Mary Mother of Mercy Foundation was born — a mission rooted in mercy, love, and a desire to give back. I know what it feels like to be in need, and I know what mercy can do. That’s why our foundation reaches out to the poor, the forgotten, the broken, the abandoned, the widows, the orphans — and anyone in need of hope.

Our Aim

Holy Mary Mother of Mercy Foundation strives to ensure that deprived, excluded, and vulnerable children, poor and women have the capacity to improve their lives.

Humanitarian aid

To provide humanitarian aid and spiritual support to the poor, vulnerable, and less privileged.

Orphans and widows

To care for orphans and widows through shelter, education, food, and emotional support.

Young people

To sponsor and guide young people, including seminarians, who are pursuing a life of service but lack financial support.

Communities

To uplift communities through outreach, counseling, empowerment programs, and charitable acts.
